I don't think Ebooboo was actually signed as "a hard-tackling midfielder who adds steel". That's Saffers. Ebooboo was supposed to be the new Damien Francis, a box to box goal-scoring midfielder. (I think he was, anyway. He's been so disappointing in so many games that it's hard to remember what he was supposed to be.)
