Good post. My reply is a little lengthy though....

I think we need to see major changes in all departments of the squad. I think Grant has seen how fundamentally thin our squad is and will look to offload some high earners in order to bring in depth to the squad.

So, I suspect out will go MLJ (already confirmed), Thorne, Doherty and McVeigh on free transfers. I suspect this will quite quickly be followed by Colin - who I suspect will be sick of being in and out of the team - Henderson - who has proved he isn't upto it at Rotherham - and Safri who clearly doesn't get on with Granty.

Possible outs could also be Etuhu and Jarvis depending on how much first team football Granty can offer Jarvis and whether Etuhu can be replaced.

In, I hope will be a change of transfer policy. Players from the lower leagues that can do a job instead of buying expensive players from the Premiership reserve sides with one or two exceptions. I'd really hope Marshall is brought permenantly. I'd like to see Granty take a look at Bristol Rover's Rickie Lambert. I saw him playing against Lincoln and was exceptionally impressed. Wycombe's Jermaine Easter could also be worth a shout.

I think we need to change our transfer policy. Under Worthington we employed a policy of raiding Premiership teams. This has turned out to be costly and hasn't worked. We see plenty of examples of lower league players that are brought into sides, and yes some don't pay off, but all of them fight for their places in the side. That's what we need now, 22 players or so all fighting for 11 spots. It's only this competition that'll give us the fighting spirit that's been lost in this team for so long.
