Techie advice needed... Arganth?...

I have been offered a Packard Bell laptop for £150. Couple of years old, but not great specs - 1.3Ghz processor, 256MB RAM (I think), 20 or 40Gb HDD - cant remember which.

I just want it as a 2nd computer, but am keen to explore the options of improving the components to get a bit more juice out of it - to be able to comfortably play things like FM2007 on it.

1. Is it worth me doing so?
2. Is it possible to do so?
3. Is it expensive to do so?

Sorry, but bit of a novice when it comes to the insides of computers...
