But Lyndsey's interests are the most important thing, so I want to make absolutely sure she's settled down there. Boyf is moving in with her in a couple of weeks when he starts work down there too: well, they've lived together for a while, but only with other people in the same house, and obviously things are different with just the two. So I do want to make sure that that goes off OK, and then I'll see what's to do next.

What strikes me, though, after doing a spot of light research, is that though property is more expensive in the south, advertised wages aren't any better than up here (bearing in mind I have to drive 30 miles every day for work - basically I have to cross the border into England).

Less than tempting, that.
