Worthy *always* played his best available eleven in cup games

until last season when he played one or two youngsters. I recall reading an interview from a couple of seasons ago where he said he took the cups seriously because they were a route into Europe.

I couldn't give a flying f**k about them to be honest; the glory and romance has been sucked out of them by the "big" clubs not taking them as seriously as the Prem and Champions League and the disgraceful decision to allow Manure a bye a few years ago.
