Wouldn't The Transfer Market Make More Sense?

Reading about us getting a payment in Jan for Ashton & then having to make one ourselves for Earnie, still awaiting funds for Green and Leon, no doubt there are other myriad issues relating to other players bought and sold...what a way to do business, I wish I could pay for items on a similar-maybe an extra ?25'000 on my mortgage if I get promotion, something like that?

Economically, it doesn't make sense, although to football clubs, I'm sure it does.

How about a law coming in stating that not only do transfer fees have to be made public (did you buy your house for an"undisclosed fee"??) but that the buying club has to pay the full agreed whack upon completion?

No staggered payments, no add ons, agree a price, pay in full, simple.

Would bring an element of sanity to transfer dealings (despite Roman's billions, Chelsea are still paying for Svechenko over a period of years) and bring prices down, you would hope, and also make the whole thing a lot more simple to all involved.
