Anyone who is criticising Grant before we've kicked a ball

under him is a total and utter idiot.

He has some solid credentials to be a manager, and the Board has done the right thing in not giving it to anyone from the existing team.

For anyone whingeing on about Tilson, Newell or any of the "big names", get real for f**k's sake. The top up and coming managers were under contract and we were denied permission to talk to them. And I'd rather have a good up and coming number 2 at a premiership club then a Hoddle, Souness or Reid.

Grant has the right attitude, something to prove and he'll be hungry for success.

There might be an instant improvement, or it might take him some time to sort out our defence and our ageing forward line. I just hope everyone gives him longer than a few games - his main task right now is to stop us sliding into the bottom three. A dose of realism is required.
