As to whether Worthington's spending has been profligate - well Munby reckoned that Worthington's success rate on signings was a little better thanwhat he reckoned was the Championship average of 25%. Walker's record was, in my opinion, significantly better than that.
The other thing we know is that by January of this year Worthington had spent so much money that the club had to borrow both the transfer fee and the wages for Robinson. Seems pretty profligate to me.
