I can't disagree. I suppose it comes down to playing the game though...

If somebody asked you to sell something and you told them it was not for sale and to stop bothering them, would you be happy if they kept pestering you ?

Especially if there was a chance you might sell it in a few months, but certainly not to the pestering arseholes...
