Blackburn's Kuqi to miss Poland qualifier

Blackburn Rovers' Finnish striker Shefki Kuqi will miss Saturday's Euro 2008 qualifier against Poland due to transfer negotiations, Finland's Football Association said on Thursday.

"I will go and see what the situation is with an open mind. There are several options available," Kuqi said in a statement without naming the clubs involved.

Kuqi, who has not been a first-team regular at Blackburn, will return to Finland for Wednesday's match against Portugal in Helsinki.
