The smoking ban....

A bit OTT in my book,especiaally as the nazi's were the first to suggest such a wide spread ban.

A 70/30 or 80/20 split in the favour of non-smoking boozers would of been fairer.
Ok,fair enough people can go outside to smoke but i have a couple of concerns about which some the anti smoking brigade have yet to think about.

1.The litter created from cigs- ashtrays will be needed outside pubs.

2.Land locked pubs will lose trade and many towns will see pubs disapear-this is of huge concern. towns will become bigger dives and people will lose jobs and income.

3.It has been proven in statistic figures that there are a higher percentage of smokers from less well off social groups.Has the smoking policy been brought in especially to encourage this group to wuite as they already suffer from health inequalities?
