but my vocabulary is fairly standard in the academic world. Should I insult and patronise people on this board by asuming they can't understand a slightly more complex style than the average conversational chit-chat?

My intention, far from trying to impress, is to stimulate debate and conversation regarding the origins and future resolution of class conflict.
