doesn't make smart people think you're smart, you know. It makes them think you're pretentious and insecure.

Dont say 'precipitate' - say 'bring about'
Don't say 'musing' -say 'thinking about'
Don't add in adjectives like 'advanced' when they're not adding anything

not if you want people to pay attention, anyway. If you just want to impress people who aren't much interested in this kind of thing anyway, then carry on. Although that's rather sad.
