Obviously I'm not happy with all of the performances from last season, but all that seems to happen on here is moan, moan, moan.
Surely it's better to get behind the team and cheer them on than sit on here and moan all day?
Last season was tough, for all sorts of reasons. Crazy expectation that we would just bounce straight back up. Easy. Easy. Easy.
Come on - every year we take the piss out of pundits for predicting that the 3 relegated sides will be the 3 that go back up. It just doesn't happen.
Psychologically relegation is a huge blow for players, manager and club alike. Players left, others didn't perform as expected, and you are left with a disappointing season.
So the new season starts, and there are already postings about "being 3 points within touching distance of the playoffs, and that's the closest we'll be all season".
What's the point? What does that add to the debate about our precious football club?
All I ask for is some positivity - Croft looks like a good signing, Earnshaw looks like he'll score a hatful, Hucks is still blazing down the left, and our midfield looks as though they will have a great season. Maybe even the defence will tighten up? Who knows?
And that's the whole point.
The season is one game old, and noone knows what twists and turns await.
So let's try and enjoy it, stay positive, and cheer on a team that looks determined to keep the hoofball to a minimum.
