Some are happy with mediocrity, others are not

I think most people had resigned themselves to mediocrity in the Hamilton/Rioch era, and the first part of the Worthington era.

Then expectations were raised by success, which is only natural.

And the reason expectations remain higher than they were 5 or 6 years ago is because we appear to be throwing away the best opportunity we'll have for a decade to get back to the Premiership. Fine, if we've got a s**t team like several years ago, but we've got parachute payments, some really very good Champ players and this season realistically to still be considered a force in this division.

If we don't go up this season then it's back to being just like all the others financially at least. We have no right to EXPECT promotion but we do have an expectation to at least be challenging for the play offs, which we patently failed to do last season.
