I want your opinions on a matter pleasen (intelligent answers only please)............. ...

I started a course at college last september. A City and Guilds 2351 in Electrical Installation. I paid for the course of my own back roughly about ?350. The C and G 2351 was introduced to replace the C and G 236 which had run for many years. I have taken two exams for the 2351 which i have passed. The course is a 2 years course, but now the college has announced that they are not running the 2351 any more as it is being replaced with a new course the 233. So basically i have paid for a course that i am not going to be able to complete. I will have to study the 233 next year. The 233 will be condensed in to one year and alot of the syllabus content i have already studied from my year doing the 2351.

The thing is for the 2 exams that i have already taken the college are billing me for exams fees which is ?22 and a certification fee of ?48. I feel that they are taking the piss and i may refuse to pay. Why should i pay for an exam that i have taken but which is practically meaningless? What would you do? Am i being reasonable in taking a stand on not paying?
