Sex Pistols is basically the first LP and the singles from it

After that they became an obscene parody of themselves. They were hellishly political actually (well, Lydon, McClaren and Jamie Reid who did the artwork - the others just wanted to shag lots of birds and have a laugh), but not in the conventional left sense that the Clash were. The Clash came over as somewhat "worthy" (like Billy Bragg), but their hearts were definitely in the right place and they remain one of my favourite bands.
