Would it all be better if the council was in charge of everything?!

At least we now know that's what Burnham clearly thinks. It's not even the larger public sector (who can now do passport and driving licence renewals quite well) but "local democratic control".

Bizarre to me. When was the last time your council did something good?

As my wife said "has he never dealt with the council'?
