Referring to Manchester City and their never ending / never happening battle with financial irregularities / crime [delete as per your opinion].

I would maybe argue that it’s *possible* that maybe clubs don’t want one of their own to get caught, one hand washes the other, so to speak. Circular arrangements could be loosely in place - Villa overpay Spurs, who overpay Chelsea, who overpay etc etc, and look! We can all spend more, thereby having an advantage over other leagues, and so on.

Of course, it’s a huge risk. But who’s going to catch them? And who’s going to impose the punishment?

Am I mad? Where are Manchester City’s punishments?
