Pretty much spot on and the data backs that up.

I think the chances of an 8th team doing any good are slim and none.

Just like all sports there a levels to the game.

Was it a fluke the top 4 seeds made it to the semi finals in WC knockout competition.
Nothing is certain but there are levels to everything.
