What would he really nice

Is for the seriously rich to voluntarily pay extra tax - this I don’t have an issue with as it is not enforced and not driven by envy.
Maybe this is totally unlikely - it would need some kind of huge ego boosting recognition from society as a whole perhaps?
I get the resentment in paying tax at the current levels of tax paid - I’ve made a living on the back of helping people legitimately pay less tax!
The 60% cliff edge at £100k is crazy, I honestly think taking the 45% rate of tax from £100k up but letting people keep their personal allowance would raise significant amount of extra tax.
