I am not in the least bit bothered that we wont agree - but I was keen to understand how you see these things.

I do take your points about Gary - not some kind of Gary fanboi. I think he is well intended, others are allowed to disagree, but he is of course a "content creator" and his stuff needs to be approached as such. I think since he has latched onto Zucman his material has got more substance, but that is borrowed from proper in depth academic research.

And when it comes to wealth taxes, maybe I am guilty to some degree of being in your "envy" camp. I do think its pretty hard to defend a cohort of ultra rich people that basically pay no tax at all - every time I look at my pay slip I am very well aware of just how much tax I am paying, and any billionaire bleating about paying 2% a year is going to get told to do one if they knock on my door.
