Maybe, but perhaps the opposite is true and we romanticise how good we were before

I’d forgotten a lot of the results from euro 24 and wc 2022, but they’re not very impressive really

The impressive thing was grinding on through, and going deep in the euros.

I don’t see this squad as being less talented, we’ll see if it has the same resolve / grinding ability when we have tough games, which always come sooner than expected
