Regarding below and future World Cups

The next three FIFA Men's World Cups are officially scheduled for 2026 (USA, Mexico, Canada), 2030 (Spain, Portugal, Morocco, with special centenary matches in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay), and 2034 (Saudi Arabia).

The locations for subsequent tournaments are not yet decided, but we can determine future hosts using FIFA's continental rotation rules and bidding logic:

2038: Likely to be Oceania (OFC).
Logic: Under FIFA's rotation rules, a confederation must sit out hosting for the next two editions after they stage a tournament. Because North America (2026), Europe (2030), Africa (2030), and Asia (2034) will have recently hosted, Oceania is the only remaining eligible confederation.
Proposed Location: A joint bid between Australia and New Zealand, building on the massive success of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.

2042: Likely to return to CONMEBOL (South America).
Logic: By 2042, both North America and Oceania will be ineligible due to their recent tournaments, opening the door for South America or Europe. Given South America only hosted a handful of centenary matches in 2030 rather than a full tournament, they are primed for a primary hosting spot.
Proposed Location: A joint South American bid, most likely a revitalized "Juntos 2030" concept led by Chile and Argentina.

2046: Likely to be hosted by Europe (UEFA).
Logic: By this cycle, Europe will have completed its mandated "cooling-off" period (2030 to 2042).
Proposed Location: A United Kingdom and Ireland joint bid.
