I think he meant (not cos I hate man utd or whatever)

but because that is Wayne Rooney all over, he's done it before, he was protected in Spain in the friendly and subbed (I think)

I doubt I'll find the footage but Rooney tried to wind up an Equadorian player right at the end of the game, and the ref chickened out of dealing with it. Mainly cos it was a bit of nonsense, and mainly cos it was the end of the match and he didn't want the hassle

He didn't do that much, he saw a player complaining to the ref, and he grinned at him, then ruffled his hair with his hand to say "ha ha, loser!!", the player didn't like it, and the ref ran away and blew for the free kick to be taken

The incident itself didn't show that he should been yellow or red carded (although either could have happened with some refs), it showed to me that in the heat, his already stupid moodswings and mischief are easily triggered off

It took Carvalho to tug and foul at him to a point where it was a freekick but Rooney was playing on, Rooney got more and more wound up, and as he was eventually fouled, he exploded with rage and the first thing he did was go directly for Carvalho

I honestly fail to see how it was an accident
