Ahmed, Maghoma and Toure in the last window, plus Mattsson before that? I think Knapper’s hit a bit of form. Add to that Clement’s influence and it’s promising.

When we had the poor start this season, nobody was sure if it was the manager, the players or Knapper to blame. I think we’ve all recognised that Knapper has redeemed himself and has largely been vindicated from the earlier mess which was almost entirely Manning’s, who was clearly not ready to return to work.
