Plenty of things suggest the jiggered state of British society

What happened today was horrible; I hope the victims make a swift recovery, and the perp is brought to justice.

Meanwhile, 80-90 women are killed by partners or former partners in England and Wales every year for for (checks notes) being women.

I'm just not sure why *everyone* should be any more concerned about what happened today than a whole slew of horrific things that are happening all the time.
