TBF, its highly unlikely 7th or 8th teams would win the playoffs.

The better teams (on average ) do better in the playoffs.
The more games you have, the less random it is.

They talk about the magic of the FA Cup but the reality is that West Ham were the last non PL team to win the cup in 1980....
Is that even relevant in the modern era of PL money....
