We would probably have to do better because

1) We have 33 points, not 38, from the same number of games
2) All playoff slots team other than that final 6th place have more points now than in the teams in that scenario.


So. Nothing is impossible but it is very very unlikely. If (when) we finish mid table this year we should not be disappointed after the start we had. That would be a very successful turnaround, and we should be hopeful for next season.
