Play off chances? A view from history

They had already hit some form and then sustained it for the rest of the season going at a rate of just over 2 points a game for the remaining 17 games, finishing on 73 points (two points ahead of Wigan in 7th).

Are we capable of a run like that? Maybe. But two points a game would only get us to 67 points which I can't see being enough, especially with the grouping of teams from sixth to 11th in the league (only two points covering them) and other teams above us (Sheffield Utd and Southampton) who are capable of similar runs.

So I don't think we will but the rest of the season will be fun. Hopefully we don't nearly make it and have disappointment to deal with in post season.
