Where's the optimism coming from?

Appreciate I was an empty glass that has a crack and long since emptied, but I see a team with zero balance, massive holes in midfield and defence, concedes stupid goals, can't score when they're on top and s**ts the bed when they're winning a game. Where do we get 12 wins from, aside from signing a new team in Jan?
