That is the one of the biggest differences between men and women, in that women are very competitive with each other in terms of their physical appearance and beauty. Some women perceive other women who are more attractive than them as a threat. They know that if they walk down the road or go out with the woman who is more attractive than them then all the men are going to look at the more attractive woman and not them and that would trigger resentment and dislike in some cases.
