If he'd been dismissed with some clear evidence of a credible plan, I don't think there'd be that much trauma, even if it still hadn't worked out. We were doomed if we did nothing, and it was worth a try.

But we sacked him, looked around at who was out of work, and appointed Dean f**king Smith.
