So what you are saying, if I understand correctly , is that based on

the ability shown this season alone (as by your logic previous performances in previous seasons are irrelevant since they were relative to the opponents at that time and not now), you consider that our players have been performing at a top 6 level so far, and that leads you to believe that we should be top 6?

And you're not factoring in historical performances of some players in our squad, while ignoring historical strengths of opponents against whom they were playing?
