Smith and Manning have the same problem

Blame it on the players and tell them it's up to them to figure out solutions. Both are below average coaches without the nous to use what is available to them, or to coach the team to play effectively. Asking the players to be creative is where you get to when you have got a style of play and system that the players know so well that they are able to improvise. You don't ask them to play a stupid 3 CB with WB system that plays to no ones strength and then tell them to figure it out. It's lazy, rubbish coaching.

I take your point about the players, we've spent a lot of money and gutted the creativity from the team, the injury situation isn't good either. Even with better forward options I wouldn't trust Manning to pick the correct system or team to get the best out of them.

I am sorry for banging on about it, I appreciate I've got a bit monotonous about how much I dislike him.
