Manning as a slow starter

I just don't buy the relevance of this.

In all his other roles hasn't he taken over in mid-season, where the team were presumably doing badly?

More relevance would be how his teams have started the season. I'd wager we are in one of the worst starts.

Other point is he hasn't been expected to do as well in any of his other roles. We are expecting top six so need to be starting better.
