I do agree I think the leaving bit may be overblown but ..

I think it's worth noting that mobile rich people who have a choice are unlikely to choose the UK in the future.

I think it would be an interesting study to look back over the longer term.

I think you mentioned the study just looks at taxation which the rich are brilliant at not paying because they can afford brilliant lawyers and accountants to do what the average person cannot.
Does the study look at the money they spend while here and the jobs they create. This could be the real net negative.
If they employ someone they can write them off their taxes but the employee pays taxes so indirectly the rich person has paid the employees taxes.

Also does it look at indirect taxes such as VAT which high spending rich people pay a lot of?

If the question is....are rich people a net positive or negative on the economy...thats far more relevant and interesting.
