Yep, I ahd the same thing 30 years ago.

When I worked for the Met Office in the 90s, I auditioned to be a TV weatherman on the four existing channels. In each case, I lost out to a young, attractive female presenter with limited knowledge of meteorology.

In fairness, I would have preferred to watch them on TV rather than me.
