You have pretty much nailed my thoughts on this

We clearly need a long-term plan, and changing out another manager after one season is far from ideal.

All that said, I just cannot see how giving him another window and the beginning of next season will solve the following issues:

1. Lack of fitness/overtraining - we have looked half knackered for many of the games this season
2. A possession-based style that is super high risk/low reward.
3. A complete inability to defend against direct teams
