I do feel Hoff has lost his way

The question is whether, given a clear out in the dressing room, he can regain the dressing room next season.

I do feel the way we’ve handled the contracts has not helped him. There are a number of players leaving or likely to leave who seem to have checked out. I don’t know why that has all been left so late.

I also think the keeper situation he has been left with has been horrendous. I think that almost every game we’ve lost with Long in goal or with Reyes has been primarily down to them. Not saying the defence is also not poor but I think they are poorer when they have zero faith in the keeper. That’s on Knapper. I read yesterday we’ve now conceded 31 goals in 11 games where Long has started. Nobody can win games doing that.

Also I think/fear that JHT has inherited a pretty toxic “senior pro” in Duffy who is probably not a good influence on the likes of Kenny and others in the dressing room. I don’t believe he gives a toss about anything other than his next night out sbd we and he play like that. Probably no coincidence that performances have deteriorated further since he was dropped against Oxford.

So if JHT is going to stay, the club need to back him to resolve these issues. Plus sign the long lost defensive midfielder!
