Some places will squeeze their margins to f**k on the actual car

and make off the finance product. Some sales people are better bonused on PCP deals signed than cars sold. It's the right thing for some and not for others (like me). Gone are the days of "discount for cash" when buying a car, now it's discount for finance product (pro tip, you can buy the car with the finance product then when it's all gone through cancel the finance product and pay it all off, bagging the reduced price and not having to faff with the never-never).

I'm naturally biased against buying things on tic though (because my grandad was very clear that this was a Bad Idea and I've never really got past that). So take what I say with an even bigger grain of salt than usual.
