It's an evolutionary, phased process

It doesn't have to be binary.

Hanley and Barnes will have been incredibly useful for the squad and its mentality. Hoff has praised them both for their high standards and professionalism. This is far more useful for young players coming through to see and be a part of.

So far this season, Hills, Forsyth, Myles, Warner and Kamara have all played. Mair, Mahovo and Springett have been in squads.

We are giving experience to young players, but it has to be part of a managed process which keeps us competitive, ensures morale is generally ok and exposes young players to the first team at a reasonable time and pace.
