We need some immigration obviously, but it’s been out of control for a long time

And that’s why you get the rise of what is now called the “far right” although it’s not really far right it’s just a lazy label now. In time we will need to find the right balance on immigration but right now we need a reset and to get our house in order.

Personally, i don’t see growth at all costs as the way to go. It’s easier to deal with inequality and provide efficient services and indeed grow GDP per capita (which has stagnated) when you are not growing your population by 500,000 plus a year. It’s unsustainable. I agree with some of the stuff Labour are doing in government (strongly disagree with other things) but their obsession with growth worries me, particularly what it means for the countryside which j think they don’t give a toss about.
