If the lines are closer than 15-20cm together

The tech isn't accurate enough to distinguish (if you read the tech specs, not their marketing).

So the on field decision should stick.

The idea that it can discern between millimetres is where all the problems stem from.

But yep, there'll always be a line and a margin of error.
