It will be great. My advice would be to build your aerobic base with some low intensity runs / really easy low heart rate efforts. Once you have a good aerobic pace you can add in some speed work and get yourself ready to tackle a 16 week plan. The official marathon training guides are really good and got me round. Get a decent pair of shoes as well and a proper gait analysis.
