... had we not lost Zimmermann and Stiepermann and others to injury, and then the situation with the lockdown disruption. We hadn't changed styles, had a continuity and team spirit and weren't yet the enemies of the populist media (cf. 2021 "They're not giving it a proper go! They shouldn't be allowed to be promoted! Their fans are annoying!" (That last was the most bizarre one for me, from the Times). If we'd stayed up...
