I think switching styles / formation when arriving in the prem is not a good idea

The best approach is to have a effective Prem style ready to improve with a few key signings. Brentford are probably the best example of this in recent years. They didn't play the best football when in the Champ but they were far from terrible. And their approach was far more effective when they went up.
