Whilst you are right about the financial implications, just a comment....

....in defence of Ben Godfrey. He played regularly under Ancelotti when he was manager (until weirdly he was tempted by the Real Madrid job) and also more often than not under Lampard. Dyche clearly doesn't rate him as much and that's fair enough he's the boss. Probably not fair to say he was big time overpriced when he left us. Thought it was about right at the time.
