If you like gin

Try the Jolly Botanist in Morrison Street, near Haymarket. More gins than you can shake a stick at and lots from Scottish islands. Decent food as well.
I reckon quirky would be Thomson’s Bar, also in Morrison Street famous for its pies only they don’t have any unless it’s Thursday or Friday! Decent beer, though.
