quirky bar/restaurant recommends for edinburgh svp?

eldest son is due first kinder in june so the plan is for us to weekend it up in edinburgh sometime in march so i can unload all my utterly s**te parenting advice on him and we enjoy a father son weekend together before his life changes forever. not interested in pool competitons/paintballing/bullschitt activities or cultural stuff etc just quirky/cool places to frequent.
